
The Information Technology School (ITS) and the Aviation Academy jointly hosted the prestigious Board Meeting of the European Vocational Training Association (EVTA) on January 14 and 15, 2025. This significant event, held at the ITS campus in the Comtrade Technology Center in Belgrade, brought together key representatives of the EVTA network from seven European countries.
Collaboration for Advancing Vocational Education
EVTA, as a leading European network in vocational education and training, organized the meeting with the goal of enhancing collaboration among its members, exchanging knowledge and experiences, and shaping new training programs tailored to labor market demands. Delegates discussed innovations and priorities in vocational education, emphasizing the importance of cooperation among national and European centers.
A Comprehensive Program
In addition to participating in the EVTA meeting, attendees toured the ITS campus and explored the school’s infrastructure and teaching methods. They also visited Comtrade, the founding company of ITS.
On the second day of the meeting, the exchange of expertise with representatives from ITS and the Aviation Academy brought together local experts, including:

- Prof. Dr. Slavko Pokorni, ITS
- Dr. Danijela Manić, Director of the Aviation Academy
- Tatjana Marinković, Member of the National Council for Higher Education
Discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities in vocational education, as well as the application of new technologies in teaching.
The EVTA Board of Directors meeting marks an important step toward further connecting national and European centers for vocational education, with ITS and the Aviation Academy as significant partners in this mission.
